Janel is a Clinical Director and co-founder of Phoenix Wellness Center. She has been working in the counseling field since 2007. After pursuing advanced training in many counseling techniques, Janel came to see that some diagnoses were resistant to traditional therapy methods and sought a new approach. For many people, neurofeedback is the key to improving psychological well-being without medication or with a reduction in medication. Janel's training as a counselor enables her to understand the important interweave between neurofeedback and traditional therapy methods.

Jess holds a degree in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science and is currently pursuing her degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Her passion for understanding the brain began through her background in academic studies and was further developed through her experiences supporting individuals with neurological conditions and traumatic brain injuries. Her interest in brain function led her to neurofeedback, where she began as a Neurofeedback Technician and has since grown into her role as a Neurofeedback Coordinator. Jess is dedicated to understanding the connection between brain function and behavior, and takes a personalized approach to helping clients better understand their brain and supporting them throughout their neurofeedback journey.
