Tonya Kinnaman MA, NCC, LPC


Tonya  is a Clinical Director and co-founder of Phoenix Wellness Center. With  an undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University and a Master's  Degree in Counseling from Northern Arizona University, she works with  adults, couples, teens and children with a variety of mental health  concerns. She is a certified EMDR therapist and has additional training  in trauma and interventions for children.  

Janel Fairchild MC, LPC


Janel is a co-founder and Clinical Director of Phoenix Wellness Center.  She has a Master's Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University and is a Certified EMDR Therapist and Clinical Supervisor.  Her specialties include trauma, divorce, substance abuse, attachment and providing treatment to mental health providers.  Janel works with adult individuals.

Shelby Mitchell LAMFT


Shelby  is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina  University. She is trained in PREPARE/ENRICH (Premarital and Marriage assessment and counseling), Motivational Interviewing,  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Matrix Model (substance abuse  treatment model). She treats anxiety,  depression, couple/family communication issues, and substance abuse. She works with individuals, couples, families, adults, teens and children over 5.

Neda Tavassoli MC, LAC


 Neda is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Masters in  Counseling from Arizona State University.  Neda has additional training  in play therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and families,  and cognitive behavioral therapy.  She works with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relationship  issues.  Neda’s clients include, adolescents, adults, children,  couples, and families.  Neda can also provide counseling services in Farsi.

Phil Stanfield MAPC, LAC


 Phil spent twenty-one years in the education field serving as a Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. After retiring from education, he earned his Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University. Phil is a Licensed Associate Counselor and specializes in anxiety, grief and stress management. He has also received training in Dialectical Based Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Motivational Interviewing.  Phil also runs the Chill Skills group for 12-14 year olds.

Danielle Derrick MPC, LAC


 Danielle is a Licensed Associate Counselor with Master's degrees in  Human Behavior & Professional Counseling and is currently working  towards her doctorate in psychology. She has experience working with  trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, & parenting. To help her clients heal, Danielle  uses EMDR, mindfulness activities, art, play, sand tray, family work,  somatic exercises, & more, and is able to provide Christian based  counseling as well. She specializes in working with adults and children that have experienced complex trauma. 

Anna Dickson M.Ed, LAC


  Anna is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Utah. Anna has additional training in EMDR and the Gottman Method and works predominantly with individuals and couples. Her  specialties include trauma & PTSD, anxiety, depression, life  transition & adjustment issues, women’s issues and stress  management. She sees adults, military personnel and their families, adolescents and some children.  

Amanda Mahan MS, NCC, LAC


 Amanda  is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona and a Certified Clinical  Trauma Professional. She has a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix. She has  training in EMDR, EMDR Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP), EMDR  Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP), and sand tray therapy. Amanda  treats general mental health concerns and works with adults, adolescents, and children 5 and older.  

Pat Hynes MA, LAC

Pat is a Licensed Associate  Counselor in the state of Arizona. She obtained her Master's Degree in

She obtained her Master's Degree in  Community Counseling from Northern Arizona University, and enjoys  working with adults, teens, couples, and individuals with chemical  dependency. Pat's background is in intensive outpatient therapy, and she  utilizes a variety of methodologies in a trauma-informed setting. 

Dr. Ebony Joy Winston PhD, LMFT


 Dr. Winston is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and her Ph.D in Human Development from Virginia Tech University. She provides care for couples, families, individual adults, children and teens, with a variety of presenting problems. She specializes in working with clients struggling with depression, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, couples communication and intimacy issues, military families and a range of childhood difficulties. Dr. Winston also specializes in gender and diversity issues.

Christine Hanaki, Front Office


Christine is the first face you'll see when you come in the office.  She is usually available to answer your calls and can help direct you to the right therapist if you aren't sure who is the best fit.  Christine also manages our billing and insurance claims, so you can also reach out to her with any billing or insurance questions.
