Tonya is a Clinical Director and co-founder of Phoenix Wellness Center. With an undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Northern Arizona University, she works with adults, couples, teens and children with a variety of mental health concerns. She is a certified EMDR therapist and has additional training in trauma and interventions for children.
Janel is a co-founder and Clinical Director of Phoenix Wellness Center. Shelby is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University. She has additional training in PREPARE/ENRICH (Premarital and Marriage assessment and counseling), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Matrix Model (substance abuse treatment model). She has experience in treating those with anxiety, depression, trauma history, couple/family communication issues, couples intimacy struggles and substance abuse. Shelby specializes in working with couples, families and children over the age of five.
Anna is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Utah. Anna has additional training in EMDR and the Gottman Method and works predominantly with individuals and couples. Her specialties include trauma & PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transition & adjustment issues, women’s issues and stress management. She sees adults, military personnel and their families, adolescents and some children.
Amanda is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix. She has training in EMDR, EMDR Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP), EMDR Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP), and sand tray therapy. Amanda treats general mental health concerns and works with adults, adolescents, and children 5 and older.
Danielle is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a Master’s in Human Behavior from Capella University and a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She has experience treating anxiety, grief, and trauma. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). To help her clients heal, Danielle utilizes art, play therapy, sand tray, family work, and somatic techniques. Her specialty is working with children and families of all ages who have attachment trauma.
Deana is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona. She received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Capella University in Minnesota and has worked in a variety of mental health settings. She has experience treating individuals, families, and couples with addictions, co-occurring disorders, and general mental health issues with a special interest working with older adolescents and young adults.
Phil spent twenty-one years in the education field serving as a Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. After retiring, Phil earned his Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University. He recently completed a one-year internship where he treated clients with general mental health issues including anxiety, trauma, emotional and addiction concerns. Phil sees a wide range of ages, from children to adults.
Dr. Winston is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and her Ph.D in Human Development from Virginia Tech University. She provides care for couples, families, individual adults, children and teens, with a variety of presenting problems. She specializes in working with clients struggling with depression, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, couples communication and intimacy issues, military families and a range of childhood difficulties. Dr. Winston also specializes in gender and diversity issues.
Pat is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arizona. She obtained her Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Northern Arizona University, and enjoys working with adults, teens, couples, and individuals with chemical dependency. Pat's background is in intensive outpatient therapy, and she utilizes a variety of methodologies in a trauma-informed setting.
